1. Overview

These Terms of Service govern PATerminal's website, free-trial offering, purchases, and subscriptions. Use of the PATerminal desktop software and source code is governed separately by the End User License Agreement (EULA).

Paid subscriptions are sold by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar") acting as Merchant of Record. Your purchase, billing, cancellation, and refunds are additionally governed by Polar's own terms presented at checkout.

2. Trial and paid plans

The 30-day free trial includes all features and requires no license key or payment method. Trial eligibility and the permitted use of the software remain subject to the EULA.

An individual paid plan is for one person and supports activation on up to 3 devices. macOS and Windows devices may be mixed. Team plans are sold per seat, where one seat corresponds to one person, and each assigned person may activate up to 3 devices.

After a trial or subscription expires, the official software may continue in a limited mode in which viewing and basic operations remain available. Features, limits, and prices shown on the website may change for future purchases or renewals, subject to applicable law.

3. Software license

The official binaries, source-available repository, self-built copies, license keys, commercial use, modifications, and redistribution are governed by the EULA. These Terms do not grant any additional software, source-code, trademark, or redistribution rights.

If these Terms and the EULA address the same software-use issue inconsistently, the EULA controls that issue. Polar's checkout terms control payment-processing matters handled by Polar.

4. Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Polar customer portal; your license remains valid until the end of the paid period.

Refund requests are handled by Polar in accordance with Polar's refund policy.

5. Customer portal and support

The Polar customer portal provides subscription cancellation, payment-method management, receipts, and available activation-management functions. Product and licensing questions may be sent to the support address below.

6. Related documents

The EULA governs software-use rights, restrictions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability. The Privacy Policy describes data processing by the app and website. These documents remain separate from these sales and subscription terms.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this website. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
