Settings
Open Settings with the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar. Changes apply immediately and are saved for next time.

Color theme and language
- Color theme
- Dark, Light, Solarized Dark, Dracula, or Nord. The terminals, sidebar, and dialogs all follow it.
- Group colors
- Automatically give new groups a red or blue color (on by default). See Groups.
- Language
- 17 languages: English, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 한국어, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Русский, العربية (right-to-left), हिन्दी, Bahasa Indonesia, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, Türkçe. On first launch PATerminal follows your OS language.
Notifications
Desktop notification when a session finishes (only sessions you are not looking at) — on by default. See AI agents.
Updates
Official builds check for updates and show a banner when a new version is out. In Settings → Updates, press Check for updates, then Download and install. The update's signature is verified before installing; PATerminal saves your sessions, restarts, and brings everything back.
Installing an update stops the processes running in your terminals. Agent conversations resume after the restart, but finish anything else important first.
License
Shows your trial days, license state, registered key, and devices. See License and trial.
Pair mode and worktree defaults
Finder integration (macOS)
- In Settings → Finder integration, press Install Quick Action.
- In Finder, right-click any folder → Quick Actions → Open in PATerminal. A new session opens in that folder.
If the action doesn't appear, enable it under System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → Extensions → Finder. Open With and dropping a folder on the Dock icon work without installing anything.
